Industrial Mechanic

 

Are items of technical equipment more than just utilitarian objects for you?
Are you the one on the spot when something jams, get stuck or needs to be put together?

Perfect, because the manufacture, set-up, maintenance and repair of equipment and production systems will be part of your future job. You will bring with you your dexterity and technical understanding for the inner life of machines and apparatus and we will teach you how to set up electrical components and plan and optimize entire systems. Quality control is also important: you will ensure that wear and tear and faults are spotted early and that any disruption is dealt with.

Training content:

  • Manual and machine processing of all materials
  • Assembly, installation and maintenance of machines and components
  • Set-up of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems with the help of circuit diagrams and function plans
  • Set-up of new systems and machines according to drawings or templates
  • Preparation of workflow planning and controls

Training period:

Three and a half years, shorter periods may be possible under certain conditions.

What you offer:

  • At least a good to very good school leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss, 16+), particularly in math
  • You are skilled with your hands and enjoy working with precision
  • You have good basic technical skills
  • You are highly motivated, flexible and open-minded
