“Salon der Wissenschaft” (Salon of Science)
How can hybrid lightweight materials made from renewable raw materials contribute to the manufacture of resource- and climate-friendly products? What challenges and solutions exist in the development of recycling capabilities for products made from wood, agricultural materials, and bioplastics? You can discuss these and other questions in person with Dr. Julia Belda, scientist at Fraunhofer WKI, at the “Salon der Wissenschaft.”
Hybrid lightweight materials made from renewable raw materials are becoming increasingly important on the market. They can be used to manufacture resource- and climate-friendly products that fulfill several functions—for example, load-bearing construction products with integrated thermal and sound insulation, as well as durable (upholstered) furniture and packaging. Efficient component geometries enable significant weight savings while maintaining high mechanical stability..
What is the “Salon der Wissenschaft” (Salon of Science)?
Once a year, the “Salon der Wissenschaft” invites everyone to come and talk to researchers from the Braunschweig region.
There will be no lectures, the focus will be on personal dialog.
