Training Offers

We offer exciting and extensive opportunities for starting a career after graduation.

At present, we train in a total of seven occupations. The application deadline for the 2019 training year will start at the beginning of September 2018.

Vocational training

 

Wilhelm-Klauditz-Fellowship

The Fellowship is aimed to faculty eligible for sabbatical leave who want to pursue world-class research at the Fraunhofer WKI.

 

WKI | AKADEMIE®

The WKI | AKADEMIE® is the further education establishment of the Fraunhofer Institute for Wood Research WKI. It offers an extra-occupational and market-oriented further training format in the form of focus courses on the subjects of “Bonding in wooden construction” and “Quality control in the production of wood-based materials”. Furthermore, the portfolio includes intensive courses on “Formaldehyde testing methods” as well as needs-oriented training on specific questions from industry.

 

Advanced training
“Composite Engineer“

The Fraunhofer Lightweight Design Alliance combines the expertise of 18 Fraunhofer Institutes in the field of fiber composite technology. In cooperation with the Fraunhofer Academy, the Alliance offers the certified course “Composite Engineer“. Scientists from the Fraunhofer WKI impart as tutors the basic principles and current specialist knowledge from their research and development activities.
