You enjoy working cooperatively and as part of a team, you are a good communicator, and you are really great at organization?

If you want to find out how to handle administrative tasks and manage office processes, you should consider training to become an Office Management Assistant.

You will thereby learn how to perform a wide range of administrative office tasks, such as organizing and coordinating appointments and preparing for meetings and events. Your highly varied activities will also include procuring office materials, processing internal and external correspondence and creating presentations. You will research information and present it appropriately. As well as working at a computer, you will work a great deal with other people – within your own team or with customers.

Two optional qualifications are on offer as part of the training (in accordance with the new training regulations), offering you the opportunity to specialize further.

Possible optional qualifications at the Fraunhofer WKI:

  • Commercial management and control
  • Procurement and logistics
  • Human resources management
  • Assistance and secretarial services
  • Public relations and events management 

Training period:

Three years. Shorter periods may be possible under certain conditions.

What you offer:

  • Minimum of a good secondary school leaving certificate or Abitur equivalent (high school diploma, vocational baccalaureate)
  • A penchant for numbers
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and quick comprehension abilities
  • You are interested in administrative and organizational duties
  • You are interested in spending a lot of time on the PC
  • You enjoy dealing with people
  • You are willing to learn and have the motivation for new topics
  • You are good at working autonomously
  • You are a good communicator, dedicated and able to work as part of a team
