How can we give nature more space in our cities? You can discuss this with Christoph Pöhler, a scientist at the Fraunhofer WKI, at “meet the scientist” at the phaeno.

Together with the design studio “morgen.”, Christoph Pöhler has developed floating islands made of biodegradable natural materials. Appropriate planting will provide food, reproduction and refuge biotopes for fish, birds, insects and other small creatures in high-density urban areas.

As part of the “meet the scientist” series of events offered by Volkswagen and the phaeno, Christoph Pöhler presents the research project and other research on renewable raw materials in the middle of the phaeno exhibition.
