Melamine resin coatings (direct coatings and HPL/CPL) are exceptionally robust - in rare cases, however, cracks may occur. Cracks in panels which have already been installed are often the cause of very high costs.

In close collaboration with industry, the Fraunhofer WKI has investigated the formation of these cracks in order to be able to counteract such problems in the future.

Within the framework of the Webinar, the following aspects will be addressed:

• Quantification of the susceptibility to cracking
• Quantification of the degree of curing
• Variables influencing the crack formation
• Mechanical properties
• Tensions

The Webinar is aimed at producers of melamine resin coatings and wood-based materials as well as suppliers and testing laboratories.
