The member institutes of the Fraunhofer Lightweight Design Alliance have developed the further-training program “Composite Engineer”. During this course, participants receive further training from researchers in the field of fiber-reinforced materials (FRM).

The further-training program is aimed at engineers and natural scientists from all disciplines and sectors as well as qualified skilled workers who already utilize fiber-composite technology or who intend to do so in the future.

The further-training program “Composite Engineer” provides employees with the qualification necessary to supervise the entire life cycle of a component produced using FRM; from product development through production and on to repair.

With regard to the professional and appropriate use of fiber-composite technology, the program participants learn how to think, evaluate, decide and act in an interdisciplinary manner.
