Wood-based panels such as plywood, OSB or MDF are subject to various country-specific requirements.

The four-day focus course provides basic knowledge on the manufacture and application of wood-based materials. Theory and practical training are closely coordinated. The practical units take place in the laboratories of the Fraunhofer WKI.

  • Module 1: Fundamentals concerning the production and application of wood-based materials
  • Module 2: Quality Control
  • Module 3: Statistics in Quality Control
  • Module 4: Requirements and methods for determining the mechanical-physical and hygric properties of wood-based materials
  • Module 5: Requirements and methods for the determination of formaldehyde from wood-based materials

Target group

Product managers, technical managers and specialists, laboratory employees and managers, technologists, students, etc.
