In recent years, natural fiber- and hybrid-fiber-reinforced thermosets and thermoplastics have gained the attention of the industry in diverse sectors.

he performance of the manufactured composites depends on the one hand on the initial properties of the used components and, on the other hand, on the interphase quality between the fibers and the polymer matrix. Various surface treatment approaches are pursued in order to improve the properties of composites, introduce new functions or modify optical properties.

During the webinar, we are going to discuss various surface treatment approaches applied to textile materials as well as qualitative and quantitative methods used to evaluate their effect. The focus of the webinar lies on wet chemical methods.
